WHAT a remarkable turnaround. The Salvation Army twice went into battle to block the Adult Shop across Gillygate from opening on Sundays.
Then at yesterday's court hearing, the Citadel officially withdrew its objections. The sex shop now has the go- ahead to trade between Salvation Army services.
If anything proves that the campaign to Keep Sunday Special is finished, it is this decision.
The Salvation Army has demonstrated admirable tolerance, and a Christian neighbourliness which we hope the shop owners will respect.
