THE future vision of York for the next two decades was being unveiled in the city today.
Without Walls, York's local strategic partnership organisation, was unveiling a draft plan at a special city conference at the Barbican Centre this afternoon.
The group, which includes many of the city's most important individuals and organisations, was charged with developing a strategy for York in 2023.
The Vision was to be revealed following a special day of activities. The conference was kicking off with a procession of community groups from the Mansion House to the Barbican, led by the York Youth Parliament.
Visitors to the Barbican were also met by dozens of colourful displays from many of the organisations which have been working and supporting Without Walls, including Science City, the University of York and the York Central Project Team.
