NEW York City Knights coach Richard Agar says he can't wait to start working with the Knights' highly-rated half-back combination.
The 31-year-old, installed as Knights boss over the weekend, is himself a former play-maker, having starred at stand-off for Dewsbury, Widnes, Rochdale and Featherstone.
And he reckons York duo Danny Brough and Scott Rhodes are gems in the Huntington Stadium set-up.
"As a former half-back I find it both reassuring and exciting that I'll be working with probably the two best half-backs in the league," he said. "I'm really looking forward to working with those two."
Agar, who is set to meet the squad for the first time tonight, said he already had some new players in mind to join those, including Brough and Rhodes, who are already signed on for next season.
"I will be speaking to the York players over the next week or two and I will be trying to persuade the bulk of this year's squad to stay on," he said.
"I will be talking to one or two other players about coming to York, but they will have to be the right player for the right position at the right price."
Only a few tickets remain for the York City Knights RLC presentation evening to be held at York Moat House Hotel on Friday, October 17, starting at 7pm.
