TURF grower Rolawn of Elvington has announced three key staff appointments as part of its strategy to increase its share of the UK turf and topsoil market.
They are John Carter, Paul Harborne and Jonathan Hill, all three keen golfers.
Mr Carter, 41, has been appointed regional sales manager for the North Midlands and the North West, having joined the company three years ago with a history of green-keeping and golf course construction. (As a keen golfer, he has a four handicap).
Mr Harborne, 40, has been appointed regional sales manager for the Midlands and South West. Before joining Rolawn as Solihull depot manager more than five years ago, he was a teaching golf professional. Nowadays he is player-manager for a five-a-side football team.
Mr Hill, 36, has been appointed to cover the South East of England. He worked in the construction industry before joining Rolawn last month. Golf - he has an 11 handicap - is one of his main hobbies.
