HARROGATE disposed of their National League Division Three North opponents, Dudley Kingswinford 60-21 in their Powergen Cup Second Round North match to earn a trip to Worcester of Division One.

Hooker Mark Erven will remember this game for a long time as he ran in four tries and was only prevented from scoring more as he was replaced following his fourth try early in the second half.

His replacement Chris Small went on to score the last touchdown of the match as the final whistle approached.

Fly-half Cholewa opened the scoring after six minutes with a penalty and went on to add six conversions. Between Erven's tries, full back Ed Smithies, prop forward Paul Gabriel, centre Adam Thornton and wing James Tapster finished off some tremendous running rugby with well taken

scores.

A measure of Harrogate's discipline was the fact that they did not give away a single penalty until 30 minutes of the first half but Dudley's only

score of the first-half came from a fly hack, which was chased down by wingman Warren Port and converted by centre and captain Gareth Davies.

With a half-time score of 36-7 Harrogate were able to give all seven replacements a run out and although this did not upset Gate's rhythm, two

defensive lapses led to two converted tries for Dudley's centre, Mike McKenzie and full back Steve Smart, both converted by Davies.
