HEROIC airmen who served in the Second World War paraded through York at the weekend to commemorate the Battle of Britain.
Veterans marched alongside current members of the RAF before attending a remembrance service in York Minster.
Nine Tucano aircraft from RAF Linton-on-Ouse flew over the cathedral in tribute to those who were involved in the historic air battle.
