HIGHLIGHT of the first round of the Senior League Cup was Stamford Bridge's 4-2 home win against Osbaldwick.
After a goalless first half, the premier division side were leading 2-0 with goals from Mark and Andy Triffitt.
They looked to be coasting into the next round but four goals from Bridge in the last ten minutes produced an upset. Sam Browne started the revival with a penalty, James Willmoth added two and Nick Rank banged in another.
Wigginton Black Horse and Malton Bacon Factory Cup needed penalties to find a winner after both sides had failed to score after extra time, Black Horse going through.
Pocklington put this season's inconsistent league form behind them with a 3-1 win at Copmanthorpe.
The home side must have approached the game with some confidence after recent league wins had taken them into second place in the table but the champions proved too strong. James Rudd opened their account after only five minutes and ten minutes later Richard Millett made it 2-0. Mike Murr hit a 30-yarder into the top corner midway through the second half to stretch Pock's lead. Substitute Tom Heseltine headed Cop's consolation.
Gavin Young gave Haxby the lead at Norwich Union but then Ben Drummond put through his own goal. Man-of-the-match Chris Dyson restored Haxby's lead and Young added a third.
Hamilton Panthers ran out 6-1 winners at home to Riccall after being held 1-1 at the break, Jon Beech's goal cancelled out by a Hollis Bills penalty for Riccall. Panthers ran away with it in the second half with Beech completing his hat-trick, Dave Hyde netting twice and Paul King adding the sixth.
Bishopthorpe benefited from an own goal and a strike from Neil Sanderson as they survived the potentially difficult tie against South Bank to win 2-0.
Dringhouses had a comfortable 5-1 home win against Rufforth with goals from Mark Woodward (3), Nick Brown and Neil Smith.
Crayke, relegated from the Premier Division last season and fielding a much changed line-up, overcame an out-of -sorts Nestl Rowntree side but face a daunting trip to Dringhouses in the next round.
