ARE the police ever going to do anything about cyclists? As a pedestrian I think they are becoming a menace on the streets of York.
For example, I was walking along the Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma-Gate pavement when a male cyclist cut across in front of me, missing me by inches.
I only tutted and he responded with a mouthful of abuse.
I see this sort of behaviour happening all over York with cyclists. They don't even use the cycle lanes any more.
Try walking down Tadcaster Road when York College turns out, it's like the Tour de France on the pavements.
If this anti-social behaviour by a minority of cyclists goes unchecked much longer, there is going to be a terrible tragedy.
