Poppleton started their centenary season in fine style with a 5-3 win at home to Wilberfoss in Leeper Hare York and District Football League Junior Cup.
James Barratt scored a hat-trick and Dave Pickles and Ben Janes got the other two goals for Poppleton, who conceded two penalties in the last ten minutes, both converted by Ollie Newby.
Stillington won 5-3 at home to Barmby Moor with two goals from Dave McCafferty and one each from Wayne Howell, Gary Goodwin and Kev Thomas. Rich Allison (2) and Phil Goddard scored for Barmby Moor.
LNER Builders won 5-1 at home to Sheriff Hutton with goals from Darron Scott, Chris Haigh (2), Tudor Carrington and Craig Dinsdale.
League newcomers Tockwith needed extra time to beat visitors Rawcliffe Rangers 3-1. Paul Dunn equalised for Rawcliffe in the last minute of normal time to take the tie into extra time. Tockwith's marksmen were Ben Raybould, Ollie Driver and Danny Clemence.
Division three side Amotherby beat Moor Lane 4-3 in extra time after coming from behind twice with goals from Danny Biggins (2), Simon Wall and Nick Robinson.
Selby RSSC won 4-1 at home to Huby United. They were helped by an own goal and Gordon Campbell and Andrew Jones added two more before half time. Jones added the fourth in the second half. Strensall went through to the next round with a 2-1 win at Wheldrake.
