IN response to Mike Usherwood's letter "Sizing us all up" (September 16), if his blue bag is not big enough has he ever thought of ringing the council's recycling team up and asking for a second bag?
That is what I did. One arrived in the post a few days later and I find that two blue bags hold all of my newspapers.

...MR Usherwood has issued many arrogant statements but I have never felt the need to respond before, until now, when another of his sweeping generalisations encompasses me. I may not be in the Mastermind bracket but you can be sure that the fact that I, and millions of others, read the Daily Mirror, does not mean that we are less intelligent than he.
