EVER since he saw Manet Hall, a dilapidated mansion on the outskirts of New Orleans, Declan Fitzgerald has been obsessed. So when the opportunity to buy the house comes up, Declan jumps.
He begins to renovate the house room by room - but spending his days in total isolation begins to take its toll. He sees visions from a century past, and experiences sensations of terror and nearly unbearable grief. Only the companionship of Angelina Simone can distract him from the mysterious happenings - but Angelina has her own surprising connection to Manet Hall, one that will help Declan uncover a secret buried for 100 years.
This is a haunted house story with a liberal sprinkling of romance - and a journey back to the days of the original owners of Manet Hall, Lucian and Abby. The ending, in which we learn why Declan hears a baby crying during the middle of the night, makes you believe the hall really was haunted.
If you like romance and horror, then give this book a try. It is a good read - and it may surprise you.
