ONE man and his monster have moved...
Michael Logue, managing director of Gamestation, the Clifton Moor-based video computer game empire, celebrates the company's tenth anniversary with a move from its branch in Goodramgate to Church Street, York. Gamestation, which was bought out by Blockbuster last October, was the outright winner of the 2002 Evening Press Business of the Year Award.
It is the second time the shop has relocated within York. It was the original pioneering Gamestation which started in Gillygate in September 1993. Accompanying Mr Logue is Ork, the creature featured in Warcraft III, a hugely popular computer game.
Normally the process of moving stock into new sites is easy. After all, the organisation has opened more than 100 shops all over the UK and you get used to the process.
But the stock here was proving particularly Ork-ward.
