POCKLINGTON scored a convincing 36-8 Yorkshire One victory at Hemsworth.
They had to defend early on and fell behind when Hemsworth kicked a penalty.
But Pocklington had too much pace and invention in the threequarters, while their forwards were also solid in the set pieces and made good yardage in broken play.
After two near misses in the backs, lock Stewart Rowley edged Pocklington ahead when he plunged over from close range, Kevin Bowling converting.
And despite playing up the hill, good Pocklington back play put them in command with further tries in the left corner by wing John Frank and centre Rich Williman.
Pocklington went straight back on the offensive at the start of the second half and they were twice held up over the line before a quick tap penalty put Williman in for his second try.
Pocklington again laid siege to the home line and set up the position for Frank, now playing at scrum half, to dart over, Bowling converting.
More expansive handling gave teenage fullback Charlie Allen the chance to show his pace as he ran in Pocklington's fifth try.
Indiscipline crept in and Pocklington conceded a series of penalties which ended in Hemsworth forcing their way over for a score.
But Pocklington had the final word as they finished on a high note. From a scrum 30-yards out, Bowling ran hard and straight then handed on to Allen, who sliced under the post without a hand being laid on either of them, Bowling completing the proceedings with his third conversion.
