HAVING spent a week in York Hospital, I would like to reiterate Peter Dawson's words (Letters, August 22).
I was on ward 26. The treatment from my surgeon and all the staff was excellent, absolutely second to none. Nothing at any time was a bother to them, they made time to explain to me all the things I needed to know.
The nursing care was done in a very caring and efficient manner, a very dedicated team indeed. The food was of a very high standard and served with a smile.
Well done to all the staff, we have a hospital to be proud of.
