DESPITE being promoted as runners-up, Hovingham lost their final game in division three as Bubwith cemented a mid-table rating with a 32 run victory.
Brian Last hit 33 and Paul Van Dyke 38 in Bubwith's 177 all out. Paul Ryan then made 53 for Hovingham. Jonathan Rooke added 33, but Richard Hunter's 4 -27 proved decisive as Hovingham were bowled out for 145.
Bolton Percy had a massive win over Heworth II which netted them the full 30 points.
Mark Butler led Bolton's run spree with 76, while Jamie Rigby (37) and Alistair Rigby (30) added weight to a cavalier 33 off 18 deliveries by Tyden Lattye which enabled Bolton to declare after making 239-9 in 44 overs..
Spinner Jerry Dunnington continued his successful return to senior league cricket with 3-43 for Heworth, who were then whipped out for 77 in the 30th over as Alistair Rigby took 3-24 and Danny White 3-11.
There was a similar scoreline at Woodhouse Grange, where the hosts ensured Yapham's season had no bright finish.
Grange skipper Stuart Craven posted his fourth successive half century, making 90 as he and Dave Langton (76) shared a second-wicket stand of 159 which enabled Grange to reach 224-3.
Yapham then made an insignificant reply and had to thank 18 extras for even making a meagre 56 all out as Andrew Bilton took 4-25 and Peter Nolton 2-15.
Civil Service's troubled season ended on a high note when they bagged 29 points at New Earswick.
Ian Helmsley's 7-67 in 15 overs was the best performance in the first half, but Service still made 186 thanks to 45 by ex-Heworth player Martin Lancelot and supportive knocks by Bob Graves (35) and Simon Brown (33).
Andrew James then made 51 for the home side, but Paul Wynn (6-21) and Tom Holvey (3-53) dismissed New Earswick for 144 to ensure that Service left both the division and their Boroughbridge Road ground in victorious fashion.
John Myers made 78 and Paul Atkinson 64 to give Cliffton Alliance a seven-wicket win at home to Pickering.
