Malton and Old Malton duly claimed the second promotion place in division two when they scored a six wicket victory over a ten-man Dringhouses side.
Kevin McGuinness provided 72 of the the Dringhouses total of 112 as Tony Linsley took 3-19 and Matt Yates 3-14.
Malton's successful reply was spearheaded by Aussie David Nankervis, who made an unbeaten 54.
Rowntree fielded only ten men when they lost by 32 runs at Scarborough.
Gary Pickup hit 46, George Rounthwaite 38 and Arjun Kundi 31. Rowntree skipper Paul Horner took 6-63 to lift his seasonal total to 70 wickets, the same figure as Sewerby's Tahir Maqsood had before the final round of fixtures, but Maqsood's haul against Harrogate is not yet known.
Horner was well supported by Richard Tuite, who took 3-78 as Scarborough were dismissed for 176.
Rowntree lost two wickets very quickly before Gerry Capelin (55) and Stefan Cockerill (43) put them into a good position. However, Peter Beard then claimed 4-27 to terminate their pruned batting response at 144.
Bridlington gained a five wicket win over relegated Wilberfoss in a game played at Ganton due to the re-laying of the Bridlington square.
The seasiders must be rueing their aborted game two weeks agao from which they gained no points as they have finished just out of the promotion zone, being a mere five points behind Malton and with more outright victories.
Glen McHale set up Bridlington's win when his 5-49 helped dismiss Wilberfoss for 177. with John Atkinson scoring 39, Jon Room 27 and Mike Stothard 25.
McHale then followed his bowling success by making an 35 with the bat to build on Richard Lount's 43 and Hafiz Khalid's 39, all efforts which negated a 3-53 spell from Des Healey.
