LIFE is looking healthy at the University of York in many ways.
In a cheerful double boost, the Hull York Medical School opened today just as the university won the top accolade in a national newspaper survey.
The first medical students arrived today to study at the pioneering new medical school.
These students will be working in the community throughout their course and so there is every chance that readers could meet them.
With this welcome new addition to an already-thriving university comes the news that the Sunday Times has named York its university of the year, citing "a modern approach to higher education".
Congratulations are in order all round.
