SWEET Liberty is the follow-up to Cara Dillon's award-winning eponymous debut album, released in July 2001.
She and keyboard maestro Sam Lakeman have maintained their high standard since leaving the "folk super-group" Equation to plough their own musical furrow.
The gifted duo have come up with a memorable collection of traditional songs and their own compositions, plus a version of the powerful Ulster peace song There Were Roses by Tommy Sands.
Their interpretation of this folk standard is charged with a fragile beauty.
Sweet Liberty enhances Dillon's reputation as one of the outstanding young vocalists in traditional music. She sings with great clarity and beauty.
