THE letters from Messrs Clayton, Jeffrey and Frost (September 3) on Iraq are interesting but they overlook a major fact.
The Iraqis object to any foreigner in the country and they see the UN as being largely US run and consisting of many Westerners who they loathe.
Iraq should be run by Iraqis and the 400,000 Iraqis in the UK who fled from Saddam Hussein should now return to their country. They also have the knowledge, skills, experience and education to run their own nation and use their oil as they see fit.
We cannot help people who sabotage oil pipelines and water cleansing plants and loot hospitals, schools, dental clinics, food stores and museums. We should never have got involved with Iraq in the first place and all our soldiers should return now before any more die (50 dead already) for nothing.
