CYCLISTS do seem to be above laws and regulations.
I was in town with my five-year-old daughter during the pedestrianisation period at around 11.30am.
Apart from the number of cars (without city centre badges) and lorries (who shouldn't be there at this time) I was disgusted at the massive number of cyclists riding inside the pedestrian zone.
They were going through red lights, going down one-way streets the wrong way and had no regard for pedestrians.
It is about time the police and council started to do something about these people, young and old alike.
But no, the council rewards them by breaking their own rules and allowing cycles in on a Thursday night.
Isn't it time the council has one rule for pedestrians and car owners and another - or even none at all - for cyclists?
