DOES the bus-eating monster (Letters, July 19 and 28), also consume passengers?
By the time the No 6 reaches Osbaldwick, if there are three passengers that constitutes a crowd.
The munching monster seems to strike fear into the buses, so much so that two or three are often seen fleeing through the village close to one another, and sometimes buses are spotted travelling in the wrong direction, presumably to ensure the safety of the others.
M Warters' suggestion that smaller buses, which would be able to go through the estate, be used on residential routes is an excellent idea.
This would ensure the majority and not, as now, the minority of residents in Osbaldwick would have the benefit of public transport.
