I WISH to contact a George Edward Chamberlain, a former grammar school associate. His 87th birthday was on December 26, last year. Mine was five months later.
We both left York when we were 20. He joined the Metropolitan Police. We met during my wartime service in London when he showed me some of his less salubrious police duties in the capital. He later joined the naval forces, temporarily.
He married a London woman called Diana and they had six daughters. I retired to York after spending my working life in Doncaster and South Yorkshire.
I should be pleased to know of his whereabouts.
