I ENTIRELY agree with Mrs J Wilde about Gary Hart (Letters, July 25). She expressed my sentiments completely.
Since the Great Heck rail accident several other vehicles have finished up on the lines, some with fatal results to the drivers without sparking such an outcry.
The magnitude of the accident at Great Heck was the result of several unfortunate coincidences.
The Highways Authority should be responsible for making sure vehicles cannot land on railway tracks, particularly fast main lines.
After all, Gary Hart could just as easily have landed where he did as a result of an accident or blow-out on the M62.
