Leaders Selby suffered their second defeat of the season, this time at the hands of Pocklington, and now only hold a three-point advantage.
With Ian Lake making 39, Mark Bowden 33 and Alex Romaniw 26, Selby were able to total 163-9.
But this was more than matched by Gary Milner, who made 45no, and Tim Creaser 40 for Pocklington's five-wicket win.
Stamford Bridge yougster Stephen Fieldhouse was again among the division five runs when he made 45 at Dringhouses.
Martin Veysey (43) and Andy Rapson (27) contributed to Stamford's 205-9 as Dringhouses' skipper Dave Storr bagged 5-41.
For Dringhouses Andy Page hit 33 but the home side were indebted to veteran Alwyn Yorke for their draw. One of the few players to have played in the league in six decades, he made an unbeaten 60.
Another good 'old 'un', Len Watson made 25 when Huntington batted first at Hovingham. Steve Beales chipped in with 32, but Mike Hemingway took 5-47 to peg Huntington to 128-6.
In reply Mark Redhead made 37 and Richard John 30. Wally Baynes took 3-62 but he lacked the services of injured Steve Beales as Hovingham won by four wickets.
The derby game at Mille Crux saw New Earswick gain the better of a draw when Rowntrees' batsmen failed to make the required runs for their first win of the season.
Mick Steels played the definitive innings as he hit 71 for Earswick. Steve Richards added 29 and the best Rowntrees' bowler was teenager Jonathan Solly (4-40).
Mark Hewitson countered with 5-60 with Rowntrees relying heavily on Ian Parnaby's unbeaten 57 to gain a draw at 104-6.
With York III having a free week, Selby took advantage to close the gap to nine points at the top of division six.
However, they may rue their inability to take the last two Stillington wickets as the extra nine points from a win would have seen them go top.
Gareth Pearce made 73, Graham Spence 38 and Stuart Hutchinson 32 in Selby's 175-6 in which Clive Wakefield took 3-38.
In reply Gary Goodwin made 63 but Richard Sherwood 3-39 and Gareth Roberts 3-43 prevented a home win, the innings ending at 149-8.
Bolton Percy maintained their outside promotion hope when they beat Hemingbrough by 35 runs.
Peter Atkinson made 34 for Bolton but Andy Rowley took 4-19 to, apparently, set his side an easy task as Bolton were all out for 119.
The Bolton bowlers had different ideas and John White, who took 4-31 in 13 overs and Atkinson who had 4-26, systematically picked off victims as Sabir Khan made 53 in an all-out score of 84.
One of the higher-scoring games saw both sides take full batting points as Wilberfoss gained the better of a draw at Thorp Arch.
Old campaigners Brian Room (69) and Kev Davison (57) helped 'Foss reach 221-8 despite Dave Kernan's 4-69.
Thorp Arch's James Harvey hit 72, John Orrell 50 and Graham Casey 39 in a rousing 200-6 reply.
