Reigning English strokeplay champion Emma Duggleby is hoping Irish eyes will smile on her again to complete a double.
The Malton and Norton star's next major mission is the British Strokeplay Championships at Portrush in Northern Ireland later this month.
She has just returned from the Emerald Isle, where she was one of the Great Britain and Ireland mainstays in their recapture of the coveted Vagliano Trophy for the first time in the last decade.
Duggleby (pictured right) was unbeaten in her respective clashes against Europe, winning her first singles match 4 and 3 and drawing the next before halving her opening pairs match and then winning the last to help to seal a slender 12-11 triumph.
"It was always an ambition to get the Vagliano Trophy back and so it was great to accomplish that," declared Duggleby.
Attributing her latest run of success to an improvement in her short game, she told the Evening Press: "Now I would like to be able to add the British strokeplay title to my English crown."
