TENS of thousands of visitors flocked to the first day of the CLA Game Fair.
The theme for the three-day event at Harewood House, between Leeds and Harrogate, is Give It A Go, and with so many recreational activities and countryside pursuits there is plenty to try out.
Celebrities from TV soap rivals Emmerdale and Coronation Street were taking part in a Yorkshire-Lancashire clay pigeon shooting competition.
Football and film superstar Vinnie Jones, star of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, completed the shooting line-up.
The first day of the fair, which continues today and tomorrow, set out in style with great weather and crowds flocking to the event.
A spokesman for the Country Land and Business Association said: "It's going very well. There are lots of people here and the atmosphere is terrific."
With the sunny weather expected to last all weekend, the association is confident of exceeding last year's total of more than 120,000 visitors.
Chris Jackson, a spokesman for The Countryside Alliance, which was represented at the fair, said: "It's all going extremely well, it's a real success."
