THE law's an ass, as the Tony Martin case has proved once and for all. For years now, it has favoured the criminal, not the victim.
If someone breaks into my home, I shall protect myself, my family and my property with whatever comes to hand.
I have a contract with the Government of the day whereby I have agreed not to carry arms or take the law into my own hands, provided it carries out its half of the contract by protecting my family, home, possessions and myself.
If the Government reneges on its side of the bargain then I feel I am entitled, and obliged, to do the job instead, however I see fit.
Farmer Tony Martin was right, and has no reason to show remorse.
The law cannot protect us.
