FANCY spending a night or two in the haunted bedroom of a York pub?
If the creaking floorboards and eerie atmosphere of the ghostly Golden Fleece, in Pavement, appeal to you then enter the grand prize draw being held by the York branch of the Alzheimer's Society.
The pub has a yard named after Lady Alice Peckett, whose husband John was Lord Mayor in 1702, and owned the inn.
Many guests have reported seeing Lady Peckett wandering the corridors and staircases of the pub - one of five reported spirits.
The prize draw aims to raise as much cash as possible for the charity, with businesses such as the Dean Court Hotel, City Screen, YorkBoat and Yorkshire TV also offering prizes.
The charity is raising money in the run-up to its Memory Walk, an event to celebrate the lives of those suffering the brain disease, which takes place on Saturday, September 20, at The Retreat, in Heslington Road.
During the Memory Walk day there will be "fun walks" including a wheelchair route, stalls, activities, refreshments and attractions for the whole family.
Tickets for the draw cost £1 each and the winning tickets will be chosen at The Retreat on the day of the Memory Walk.
For more information on the event, and advice on where to get tickets, phone the Alzheimer's Society on 01904 430020.
