SCARBROUGH'S new striker Mark Quayle marked his debut with two goals either side of half-time in last night's 4-2 friendly match win over Hull City.
He seized on errors by goalkeeper Paul Musslewhite and defender Shaun Smith to add to the early goals scored by Chris Senior and Keith Gilroy.
Senior has been released by Huddersfield Town and the diminutive striker scored with a superb volley, while Gilroy caught the eye with his running and vision.
Both Tigers' goals were scored by Danny Webb, the second from the penalty spot when James Dudgeon hauled him down.
Boro had former Rushden & Diamonds man Adam Sollitt, while Wayne Gill again showing well in midfield. The former Oldham player is still without a club.
Steven Capper, who has been released by Sunderland and had unsuccessful trials at York City and Sunderland, fitted in well at full-back. The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international fitted in well and could net a contract with Scarborough.
