Unshakable can live up to his name tomorrow as he bids to win the feature race on the penultimate day of the Glorious Goodwood Festival.

Trained by Bob Jones at Newmarket, the four-year-old goes for the £100,000 William Hill Mile with ground conditions in his favour.

Unshakable requires some give underfoot to produce his best and this week's rain, which has turned the Goodwood going to good to soft is ideal for him.

Sheriff Hutton-based jockey Kevin Darley, who won this race last year on Smirk, rides Unshakable tomorrow, just as he did at Newbury recently when the gelding was narrowly beaten by Definite Guest, a winner at York.

Richard Fahey, trainer of Definite Guest, has Lady Bear, another mudlover, in tomorrow's line-up.

A host of other horses also have chances., but they've all got Nap selection Unshakable to beat.

In the opening race, the Theo Fennell Handicap over ten furlongs, I fancy Tiber to score for John Gosden and Jimmy Fortune.

The three-year-old, not the easiest of horses to win with, has finished second in four of his last five starts, including at Newmarket's July meeting. Overdue a winning turn, opportunity could finally come knocking for him here.

Mark Johnston, who saddled the first two winners at Goodwood yesterday, had earlier scored with Darasim, who goes for a quick double in the Glorious Rated Stakes.

Joe Fanning's mount bounded home on Tuesday and a 3lb penalty may not prevent him obliging again tomorrow in a race he won last year.

Kieren Fallon, who has had mixed fortune at this meeting so far, has good prospects of winning the Turf Club Nursery Handicap aboard Blue Tomato.

Trained by Paul Cole, Blue Tomato fulfilled his initial promise when winning at York earlier this month. A progressive youngster, he does not look overburdened in his first handicap.

At Thirsk, Sharp Hat can win the Peter Bell Memorial Handicap over six furlongs.

Trained at Stillington by David Chapman, whose horses are in cracking form, Sharp Hat has proved a model of consistency this summer and ran yet another fine race in defeat when second at Catterick last week.

That race was over five furlongs and tomorrow's longer trip is expected to suit him even better.

Tim Easterby has a splendid record on this course and the Great Habton trainer has excellent prospects of a double with Cheeky Girl (4.10) and Highland Gait (5.20).

Tomorrow's tips:
