ON a recent visit to York I was disgusted to find that in several shops my Scottish money was not accepted.
The reason given was that there was a lot of forged Scottish currency.
I wish to inform these shopkeepers that there is a far greater number of English forged notes in circulation.
No wonder the Scottish hold the English in low esteem when they treat their currency with such contempt, after all it is sterling.
I own a guest house in Scotland and accept money of all denominations, even English!
I am not an enraged Scotsman, I am a Yorkshireman who is proud to live in Scotland.
