DISABLED North Yorkshire students celebrated successfully completing a course which helped them to learn skills to live independently.
Ten former students of Henshaws College, in Knaresborough, passed their Learning Skills Council basic skills certificates.
The students, who all have a visual impairment and other disabilities, received their certificates at a presentation at the Henshaws Arts And Crafts Centre.
Jane Cole, Henshaws College principal, congratulated them on their work, which included making shopping lists, learning new recipes and researching bus and rail travel.
Student Andrew Morrison said: "I worked really hard on my project and am going to carry on learning some new tasks next year."
The project was led by Harrogate-based Henshaws College and funded by the Learning and Skills Council and the European Social Fund.
