CITY of York Council will be resurfacing the carriageway of Huntington Road between Byland Avenue and Meadowfields Drive starting next Monday.
The work will involve planing out the existing worn-out carriageway surface, and then providing a new surface layer to give a good ride quality for motorists and cyclists.
The work will take about three weeks to complete and will be carried out between 9.15am and 4pm. The contractor undertaking the works will be Tarmac Northern Ltd.
While resurfacing works are being carried out, temporary traffic lights will be in operation during working hours.
Access to properties will be maintained at all times and bus stops will be temporarily relocated.
