TWO North Yorkshire towns are hosting a display to promote the work of a little-known charity next month.
Volunteers from the Doctor Hadwin Trust, which supports the scientific advancement of medicine without testing on animals, will be in Malton library from Monday, and then at Norton from August 18.
Sarah Spence, from the Trust, said she hoped the displays would give the charity - supported in the past by celebrities including Joanna Lumley - a boost.
"Its good for people and for animals, it's a very positive cause," she said.
The trust promotes the use of cell cultures for testing as an alternative to animal testing.
Sarah will be on hand to talk about the trust's work, hand out leaflets, and recruit new members.
It seems one new recruit has already been signed up - Sarah's husband, Daniel, will be doing the Great North Run to raise money for the trust later this year.
