Transco will replace an eight inch cast iron main with plastic pipe, along Ousegate and Water Lane, as part of its multi-million pound package of improvements to the gas supply system in the North of England. The improvements, expected to take six weeks, will start on August 4. Ousegate will be closed from the junction at New Street, with access available for businesses.
