A naval officer from Thirsk set his feet on British soil for the first time in 188 days last week.
Peter Stanton-Brown, a crew member on the submarine HMS Splendid, had been stationed in the Gulf since the beginning of January.
Peter said he was happy to be home, and was looking forward to being reunited with his family and friends.
