YOU can almost hear the famous Vangelis theme. Carl Warren became the first runner to emulate the legendary Chariots of Fire scene in York yesterday by racing against the noon chimes of the Minster.
Others will get their chance in a September charity run. Perhaps then the race could be widened to welcome athletes of all standards. The world beaters could attempt a cathedral circuit against the four o'clock chimes, while those with less puff might tackle the midday peal with a brisk walk around the St Sampson's Centre.
