Only Fools and Horses star David Jason was in York today filming the sequel to The Quest, a story about three teenage boys as they lose their innocence.
The award-winning actor was directing a scene of the comedy drama in Ambrose Street, Fulford, which saw the three actors leaving home on vintage motorbikes.
Second assistant Anton Darby said the crew had just returned from the Isle of Man where they filmed scenes involving the motorcycle TT races. The one-off programme continues the reminisces of Roy Hudd, Hywel Bennett and David Jason playing old friends who meet up at a retirement party.
The action then transports back to the 1950s, where their young incarnations are played by Greg Faulkner, Max Wrottesley and Jim Sturgess.
The TV crew said they would continue filming tomorrow. The programme is expected to be shown on ITV during the Christmas break.
