FAME is on its way for one York singer as he waits for his big break on television.
Daniel O'Shea, 20, is one of seven hopefuls waiting for his chance to enter the BBC Fame Academy.
Daniel is in the first batch of seven out of 25 talented youngsters looking to join the hit show for its second series.
He will have his TV debut on the opening night of the show on July 26, when the 25 contestants begin to be whittled down to 13 who will enter the academy on August 6.
He will be joined on the first night by Alistair Griffin, 25, from Whitby.
