A DRIVER suffered cuts and broken bones after her car left the road and hit a tree in East Yorkshire.
The 42-year-old woman, from the Pocklington area, was hurt when her Ford Fiesta, travelling from Bolton towards Pocklington, left the unclassified road and struck the tree.
Humberside Police said the driver "failed to negotiate a left-hand bend and lost control".
The car bounced back on to the road coming to a rest in the middle of the carriageway.
The accident happened at about 1.10pm yesterday, outside Smylett Hall.
The road was blocked for seven hours.
The women is currently at York Hospital where her condition was described as "comfortable".
