MAGISTRATES banned a man from a York nightclub after hearing of his bad behaviour there.
The 12-month order was imposed on Mark Andrew Stevens, 26, of St Nicholas Croft, Askham Bryan, after he appeared at York magistrates court and admitted involvement in two incidents at Toffs nightclub earlier this year.
He pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour towards another nightclubber.
The court heard he ended up breaking the other man's glasses in the incident in April.
Stevens also admitted that on May 22, outside the club, he was drunk and disorderly. His behaviour included shouting abuse at a policeman, and urinating in his direction.
Stevens was banned only from Toff's nightclub, rather than all drinking establishments. The reason for this selective ban was his job. Before the incidents most of Stevens' career had been spent as a doorman and chef - all based in a pub.
