poets Mairi MacInnes and Peter Robinson will be at York Central library tomorrow. The reading takes place at 6pm as part of Read-Write, City of York Council's drive to promote literature across the city.
Mairi, a York resident, is the author of two novels and six books of poetry. Her work draws on her experiences in post-war Berlin, Mexico and America, as well as her service as a driver for the Women's Royal Navy Service in the Second World War. Peter also has York connections, having been at university here. He is the author of several collections of poetry.
