A YORK comprehensive school has ended the term by celebrating the news that it had won a regional award.
Pupils at Canon Lee School, Clifton, York, had been pioneering a new scheme begun by the school to provide valuable work experience for talented young pupils.
Now their efforts have been rewarded with a prestigious careers prize for their contribution to the students' all-round education.
The school won a Gold Prize from the Guidance Enterprises Group Career Awards for its Young Professionals scheme.
