A SCHOOL near Selby has boosted its coffers by £1,200 with a summer fair.
Organised by Friends of Hungate School, in Sherburn-in-Elmet, the fair was opened by York City FC player/manager Chris Brass.
Attractions included ten pin bowling, gymnastics display, stalls, bouncy castle, hook-a-duck, tombola and refreshments.
More than 200 people braved torrential rain, which forced the organisers to hold the fair inside the school.
