WOODHOUSE Grange have turned back the clock for their Steve Oldham Testimonial game against Yorkshire next Tuesday.
They have included six players with Lord's experience from their 1999 and 1995 National Village finals - Jon Bean, Mike Burdett, Steve Burdett, Paul Grewer, Nick Hadfield and Richard Steele.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Mike Burdett, who was the National Village Knockout final man-of-the-match seven years ago, will lead the side.
Hadfield spent the winter playing Premier Grade cricket in Auckland, New Zealand - replacing the New Zealand Test opener Mark Richardson when he was on international duty.
Hadfield's opening partner, Bean, is the only Woodhouse Grange player to score a half-century at Lord's - in the defeat to Linton Park in 1999. Vice-captain Steve Burdett represented Yorkshire Schools and was the club's inaugural captain at Under-16 level.
Grange also include both of their Pakistani international overseas players, batsman Kamran Sajid (Pakistan U-19), and last season's pace bowler Kashif Raza, a former Pakistan one-day international who is playing for East Bierley in the Bradford League this season.
Kamran, who only turned 19 in December, has already passed 450 runs and 20 wickets in the York Senior League premier division, with a highest score of 121no and best bowling of 6-42.
In addition, Collis King, the former West Indies all-rounder and captain of the York Senior League champions Dunnington has agreed to guest for the Grange.
Yorkshire will announce their side over the weekend.
The match has been arranged by Grange's social committee chairman, Kevin Smith, who is also a member of Steve Oldham's testimonial committee.
"We as a club are very proud to be hosting our county's first eleven here at Woodhouse Grange."
Play will start at 2pm and there will be a testimonial raffle on the day with signed Darren Gough international sweater and Yorkshire shirt, plus autographed bats and shirts up for grabs.
Play will begin at 2pm at Woodhouse Grange's Sandhill Lane ground, just outside the village of Sutton-on-Derwent. Woodhouse have sold in advance around 200 brochures, but entry on the day is available at £3 or £1.50 for concessions.
