A YORK woman has lost more than four stone after a stark warning from her doctor that she was putting her health at risk.
Rachel Bullen, 27, of Tang Hall, was told she was in danger of developing serious health problems unless she did something about her weight. Her risks were increased because her father had heart trouble and her mum suffers from high blood pressure.
The University of York worker said: "When the doctors told me I was over five stone overweight, and potentially endangering my long-term health, I was devastated."
Rachel joined Slimming World and after ten months she dropped from a size 18-20 to a size 12-14 and has lost just over four stone.
She is now a Slimming World consultant at Fulford Social Hall on Tuesday evenings.
