THE first meeting of York's teenagers' scrutiny panel has been called a success.
The panel, set up to make contact with York's younger residents and find out what leisure facilities they want to challenge the "nothing to do" culture, held its first meeting yesterday.
Members of the mixed party group panel will now go out into the community to meet young people and talk about their views on leisure in York.
Panel chairman Ceredig Jamieson-Ball said: "It went very well, we made a lot of progress. We are now looking forward to getting out into the community.
"We want as many people as possible to come forward and tell us what they think of existing leisure provisions."
The next panel meeting will take place on September 5, venue to be arranged.
