WE again appeal for readers' help in shedding more light on this week's archives picture.
Judging by the hairstyles, with centre partings, this photograph of a Tadcaster football team was taken in the 1920s or 1930s. But which team is it and what are the names of the players? So far there are three possibilities for names - a Mr Heneachon, fourth from the left on the back row; Jack Woodward, on the right of the front row; and a Mr Tiplady, in the middle of the front row.
Tadcaster Community Archive Group member, Peter Bradshaw, said Woodward was a familiar name in the town, with the family running a baker's shop. But apart from that, the group has drawn a blank on the rest of the team and the club.
If you can help, phone Mr Bradshaw on 01937 832726 or the Evening Press Selby office on 01757 703580.
