SUPERSONIC competition winner Elaine Smith is preparing to board Concorde for the last time before the plane is grounded.
The Bridlington woman, 54, won a pair of tickets to enjoy a champagne flight, reaching the speed of sound over the Bay of Biscay.
She is one of the first people to win seats on the Concorde Farewell Tour of the UK, launched earlier this month by British Airways.
It will be the second time Mrs Smith has flown Concorde, after she was surprised with a ticket for her 50th birthday.
During the week of October 20, the supersonic aircraft will visit a different UK city each day giving thousands of people the chance to see the aircraft and say their own goodbyes.
Competition winners will win a pair of tickets on one leg of the tour, with their flight beginning and ending in the UK.
There are still 325 pairs of Concorde tickets up for grabs.
To stand a chance of winning a ticket, phone the premium rate number, 09069 150 001, and answer a question. Lines close on Sunday.
