DIVISION three leaders Burton Salmon wracked up the runs against Woodhouse Grange.
Steve Warner scored 100no in Salmon's 238-3. Only a quick fire 39no from Gareth Harvey and a steady 32no from Doug Bartle gained any respect in Grange's 116-7.
Second-placed Wistow came a cropper against York University Staff, whose Richard Waites hit a masterful 136 out of 244-5. Jim Watt supported his skipper with 91. Only Ian Jennings (52) got a score going as Wistow fell shy by 58.
Third-placed Stillingfleet also tasted defeat at the hands of Malton and Old Malton. Fleet batted first but got into trouble from the word go and finally succumbed to 84 all out. Malton then took 24 overs to reach their target for the loss of five wickets.
Huntington showed signs of recovery against Askham Bryan YPO II. Mick Storey (3-58) and Stu Ross (2-70) bowled right through to give Huntington's batsmen a chance to knock off the 137 for victory. However, the chance came and went in the 27th over as Huntington were all out for 78.
